The annual XRAY Challenge Grand Final was held in Trencin on May 8-10. Some 150 drivers and XRAY fans from all over Europe joined the race which saw perfect weather conditions, except for a slight rain on the Saturday night.

The modified class we saw a close fight between TQ holder Bruno Coelho and myself. In the end it was Bruno who took the top spot with to A-final wins. Martin Hudy completed the podium with his XRAY T4.
The stock class was won by the Danish XRAY driver Mike Gosvig after a dominating performance. Mike seemed to have his stuff well dialed in as usual and thus well prepared for the upcoming ETS Final which is held at Hudy Arena. It was also great to see the young and talented Oliver Havranek take the runner up spot with his XRAY T4'15.

The nitro 1/8 was won by German XRAY team driver Tom Krägefski after a fantastic last lap pass on the local XRAY driver Tomas Liptak.
1/10 nitro was won by XRAY team driver Bruno Coelho. He took a tone to tone win in front of Martin Hudy, and myself, who completed the podium even after breaking a glow plug with 1.5 minutes left of the race. An early mistake from me during the opening stages of the final made things a bit less interesting. The new NT1 seemed to handle well for all drivers.

It was great to see XRAY drivers visiting from many countries around Europe including Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, UK, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Italy just to name a few. Hope to see you all again next year at this great event!
